Working with the actors of Act III on their performances
“Sound production for Mr. Burns, a post-electric play was especially challenging since it was my first show working as a tech head, but I am proud to say that I was able to learn how to direct my time, when faced with the task of assisting actors in learning Mr. Burns’ soundscape was also fascinating as it relies heavily on live music and sounds, both from actors, something we had never done before. Live music was done through a classical musical production workflow, which was novel to our department, but thanks to the help of Mr. Ferrell, we were able to challenge our actors, to a successful degree. Moreover, live sounds were especially thought-provoking as the solutions to some of the sounds we made were extremely novel, and something I would not have thought of without the help of Mr. Savage. I think everything came together to make a great soundscape and I hope you enjoy it.”
